Animal Health and Inspection Center (AHIC), established in 1953, is the veterinary department responsible for the animal diseases control/prevention/management and animal protection under Kaohsiung city government. We put great efforts on the establishment of the efficient standards of animal diseases diagnosis as well as contingency movement of disease control/management to give warrant of a healthy land both for the animals and citizens in Kaohsiung city. In the mean time, we also dedicate ourselves in animal protection issues via special local managing projects, education programs, and also cooperate with local NGOs, schools and local veterinarians to advocate the concept of animal protection, pet neutering, and stray animal adoption. We hope what we did and what we do could drive the city more human world.
